Loving it. Still plugging at the campaign though because I had to finish up my two summer classes. Major assignments and exams got int he way of an awesome storyline.

I'm halfway through so far.

Im doing the campaigns also, looking forward to go multiplayer but the bad thing is that I bought the Latin America Version of SC2 so I can only play with friends of LA :(

Finished the campaign last night. Pretty good, didn't realize I was that far along. Quite the bitch that I am only done 1/3 of the story though... there is obviously much more to come....

The campaign story to SC2 is BADASS. I haven't played it online though because this vacation house I'm at doesn't have any internet. Eh. But... to reiterate it again.. BADASS. Love it.

It is pretty hardcore.

Also, layed online the last couple of nights. I'm only in the bronze ranking right now... need to get used to weapon and armor types and a bit more familiar, but doing decent with terran (banshees are amazing)

I plan on picking this up once I'm done running through the SC1 campaign.  I'm late to the party, I know.

It's probably easiet to practice in a co-op game against AI. Just set it to easy. Big things to point out is to mass bases to take in minerals fast, and then mass production facilities, so that if your army is destroyed in an assault, you can get another back fast.

here are some tips for anyone starting new on this game:

1. Play the campaign you will learn a lot more, and its pace its made so you learn how to use new units every mission.

2. Playing through SC1 campaigns and brood war (SC1 expansion) would be the best way to learn most of the units/story

3. Races (I haven't played on Zerg or protoss yet but I remeber some stuff from SC1)

Zerg
  Pros
Very Cheap and fast to make. (cause Zerg are so cheap and fast to make you can start a small army at early stages of the fight... this is called Zerg Rush)
Houses can fly and they can also be used to explore and transport units.
Zerg units can dig to the ground and stay hidden unless spotted by units that can reveal cloaked things.
Zerg can make tunnels to connect areas of the map and almost teleport anything through it.
  Buildings and units regenerate alone.

  Cons
To make a building you must "evolve" one of your workers into the building, meaning that you'll loose that worker for good.
Building can only be made on the gooey thing on the ground except certain buildings that actually make that gooey expand.
To make any units u have to evolve a larvae (found in your Hive "main buildings") and every hive only gives you certain ammount (3-4) of larvae per min (the more evolved the building is the faster they appear.)
Zerg units are the weakest of the 3 races, their strategy is more numbers over power.
Because a worker is evolving into a Building you can not speed up its evolving process.
You'll eventually have to make a lot of hives in order to get enough larvaes to mass product units.

Terran
  Pros
Most balanced of the 3 races.
They can store units on bunkers to avoid getting hit while attacking.
Nuke Bombs (need to say anything else about that?)
  Satellite use to spy enemies.
The more SCV "workers" u used to make a building the faster is done.
Important buildings can be lifted and moved anywhere in the map and land again to relocate the base.
Tanks are overpowered if used correctly.
  Cloaking aircrafts.

  Cons
To make certain units you need to attach an annex to specific buildings, which can not be lifted and the building is useless while attaching.
Tanks can not move while doing their best ability.
You'll need medics for your infantry units, and SCV to repair your armory units.
Before SC2 you had to build several of the same building in order to mass produce units (2 armories) you can only make 1 unit at the time per building.
Stealth/Burrow detectors are not mobile (Turrets, Radars, etc.)
A lot of units are mostly useless unless special occasions (vultures, fire mans, marines (out of the bunker), etc.)

Protoss
  Pros
Workers don't need to build the buildings, they just open a portal and can be used to get back to work right away while the portal finish the building.
  Most powerful race but expensive.
Turret that can be used both as ground and air defense.
Protoss units & bulidngs have force fields which regenerate and certain buildings can restore fields instantly any unit in range.
Aircraft that cloaks any other units on a its range.
Carriers (huge aircrafts that has 7 small aircraft that attack).
If given the time, protoss on the long run are really hard to defeat.

  Cons
Buildings need to be in range of pylons (houses) to work. All except pylons and nexus (main building)
Really slow making process of buildings and units
Units use a lot of "house" space.
Really weak at the beginning of the game cause of time to build and create units.
First units are unable to attack air units.
Units and buildings are very expensive.
Turrets are weak compared to the other races turrets.
Units are a lil slow compared to terran/zerg units.

Personally I'm a protoss person, I love playing as those and they are extremely powerful with time, problem is to survive the first waves of attacks. Zerg rush is the hardest to survive, but if given the chance Zerg are a laugh after u get all the way to carriers. Also 1 zealot can take easily 5 zerglings, although they are quite weak to range units. Terrans are quite good too tho for making successful pushes you'll need to move your tanks, open them up, make a new bunker move marines to the next bunker, etc. Protoss is just go and obliterate your opponent.

So far I'm liking all the new terran units, they are quite good and its giving them a lot of power, not sure how good have zergs and protoss been changed but once i start going multi player ill let you know.
