Final Fantasy XIV (Online)

Square-Enix's new Final Fantasy as well as their second MMO!
Currently scheduled for a PC:CE ($74.99) release of September 22, 2010, and a PC:SE ($49.99) release of September 30, 2010!
(PS3 [$59.99] is set for March 2011.)
This game looks great. How do I know? Because I'm beta testing it! Sadly my PC is sub-par to the graphical capacity of this game, but it's still playable.
I'm not currently allowed to reveal too much (anything, actually), but if you're a Final Fantasy, MMO, or Square-Enix fan, this game just might be for you!
An upgrade from the previous game, Final Fantasy XI, it renovates the class-structure of the game, and also allows for a slightly more casual play-style.
Unlike the party-based game-play previously seen, this game balances solo and party play so that it appeals to a wider variety of players. The pace is
picked up, and the experience system has been given a make-over.
Character customization has also been given an upgrade! I can't give much detail, but you are now able to further customize your character than simply picking a race, gender, face-type, hair-type, and hair-color.
The battle-system has also been redone! It is no longer just queuing actions or standing in one spot. I wish I could give you a comparison to what it actually is like in-game, but I am under a non-disclosure agreement and on top of that it can and has undergone a few re-dos since I've been playing.
Another plus is that crafting and gathering systems have been changed to be more balanced. Now you don't just have to run around and smack the crap out of things to level up or progress!
Needless to say, they have developed a world and lore all-new from Vana'diel!
So far I am pleased with this game, and I recommend it to anyone willing to give it a try!
It will require monthly fees, and currently those have not been hashed out, but if you're wary of the game, just get the regular edition.
When I have more share-able info, I will update you guys!
Thanks for reading!

I was part of the closed alpha, but my account wouldn't "activate" for some odd reason... So I said fuck it and gave up.

My motherboard has recently fried half of my RAM so I will not be playing this until I can save up moolah for a new rig.

Not happy with the beta. Interface is very slow, sluggish. Truly recommended to play with a gamepad. Seems like there was very little done to even optimize for PC users.
