Zy-El is a Diablo 2 mod focused on making the game more difficult while adding a plethora of new game mechanics and items. Currently the max level cap is raised from 99 to 10,000. There are 4500 new uniques and some 1000's of runewords. Difficulty has increased 2x/4x/8x per difficulty making this game a challenge to all players. Skill caps have raised from 20-100. Hundreds of new item TYPES. 10,000's of new cube recipes. Oh and... did I mention, a shared infinite sized stash for all characters on your account?



Prerequisites:

a. Diablo 2 LOD installed

b. Zy-El Mod v4.4c Folder located here --> http://www3.telus.net/zyel/id3.html

c. Diablo 2 Version Changer located here --> http://www.chaosmarc.bplaced.net/index.php?lang=en

Installing Zy-El

Step 1: Copy your diablo 2 folder and rename it to something else, (ie. Diablo II Zy-El, Only do this if you wish to still continue playing diablo 2 original)

Step 2: Move and unpack the Version Changer into your Diablo II Zy-El folder and run it

Step 3: Revert to v1.09, I believe this is option 3 or 4 (1.09d)

Step 4: Unpack and copy your Zy-El mod files (yes everything in the Zy-El 4.4c folder) to the main Diablo II Zy-El folder. (Overwrite everything with them)

Step 5: Play Away!


Used to play this a while back but it's never fun playing a game alone. Also, you do not need a working B.Net key for this. Multiplayer is over TCP/IP. You can coordinate with whoever is on and you will always be able to play your character offline solo if you want.

the modder "Kato" was into the whole chicks with knives theme. It shows throughout his stuff. I'm not complaining.
