Ventrilo 3.0.0 is the next evolutionary step of Voice over IP (VoIP) group communications software. Ventrilo is also the industry standard by which all others measure themselves as they attempt to imitate its features. You're going to need a microphone and speakers of some sort (headset), but don't feel bad if you don't have a mic just yet. You can go in and type in comments or binds to people until you get yourself a mic.
Download the proper OS install file from the Ventrilo website, http://ventrilo.com/download.php , and install Ventrilo. Our server info is as follows:
Server Name: (This is optional, I use [I AM] Clan Server personally)
Hostname or IP: vent.iam-clan.com
Port number: 4239
Password: Nothing unless specified
Default Channel: Optional
From here, you're going to want to set up your microphone and speakers for optimal playback, input and output volumes and other settings you may what to tweek. Go into the Setup option on the right, play around with this for your computers specific needs.
After that's done, go in and start talking. If you're new to our community, go and introduce yourself to us, and have fun with it.
All clan rules apply to Ventrilo, member and non member alike so please follow them or administrative action will be taken.

We've moved Proving Grounds to another server in our efforts to improve the overall quality of gameplay for all our players. Several performance modifications were done as well, so expect an even better gaming experience on the new server!
