Patch 1.0.9 [New Hero: Flint Beastwood, New Item: Striders]
« on: August 14, 2010, 04:45:13 AM »
Name: Flint Beastwood
Type: AGI Hero
DoTA Port: Kardel Sharpeye - Dwarven Sniper

First skill deals damage to units and towers. Gives 300 radius sight and applied Flared (- Movement speed)
Second skill has chance of critical strike and mini stun.
Third skill adds attack range, level 3 and 4 are outside of tower range.
Ultimate has 1.7 second channeling, deals Magic damage, 10 second cooldown.

Brutalizer and Savage Mace work on different stun counters than Flint's skill.
+ Anything else that will add attack speed and damage.
95% Stun is possible. 100% is not.

Striders Give 100 Movement speed after 6 seconds of non-combat. This resets after skill use or item use. Bottles, Wards, Health/Mana do not reset.

Striders are really awesome on some heroes. Like that huge fat ass balphagore.

I also found them usefull on magmus.

God the mini stun from Beastwood is retarded.
AHH!!!! TRIUMPH IS OURS!!  BACK VILE BEAST!

I forgot to add, Striders only give +50 passive bonus. but the 100 bonus, especially if you're running away or chasing will make up the difference.

can't run away with them, takes 6 seconds... and if you're already out of range, likely you're getting away. Maybe avoiding a gank at best.

The new boots are for caster, that's about it.

Its pretty bad idea to get them on "fat-ass" baplhagore;). He have nice movement speed and a lot of slow.  And now since his ult moves with him , its  easy to use it with no portal keys/tablets and other things. :P
Better to get plated greavers .  Much more useful.

I hope S2 will fix armadon and sw as soon as possible.

Btw , brutalizer is bad at any ranged character( i also dont like it on any melee character=\) . Only 10% chance to stun for ranged characters. Not worth it.

You are correct, but the mini stun on savage mace has a seperate chance to hit... that means quite a bit of mini stun.

I heard that its possible to get two stuns at once (one from passive and other from savage mace). Anyway savage mace is a great item for any carry and flint isnt an exception ;)
