HoN, NIGHTMARE MODE

HON NIGHTMARE MODE

Welcome to the newest Clan IAM community event! This event focuses on 42 different game modes of HoN. The goal is to follow the rules and win the game. Some are funny, some are difficult, and some are just plain ridiculous. Each attempt will be documented and the match ID/Players will be put into this topic for everyone to see the replay if they want. If the match was won, it will be highlighted green, likewise if lost, will be highlighted red.

This is a new clan event. Would be hilarious. The focus would be on the new game mode and following the rules rather than playing well.
Smurf accounts would probably be the best bet, but if you want to use a real account you can do that too.

We can do this inhouse (where each team is given a separate rule) or we can do this as a hilarious pubstomp. Obviously some of them won't work inHouse and some of them won't work in pubs.

Upon completion of any one of the following 42 game modes, I will update this topic with the Game mode and match ID saying we completed the challenge. We can do any of the challenges more than once but it would be fun to attempt all of the challenges as a clan over the course of the next year. All but a few of these ideas came from a separate website. If you have more additions, note that in a reply.


Game Modes:
Challenge Name:   1. Tonight No Spartan Dies!
Objective:           Win the game.
Restrictions:           If a team member dies within the first 20 minutes, you fail the challenge and must concede.

Challenge Name:   2. It's Going to be a Long Night
Objective:           Win the game.
Restrictions:           Team members cannot leave the base unless they have at least two empty item slots.

Challenge Name:   3. Your Blood is Quite Pleasing... A Pity There's Not Enough For Both of Us
Objective:             At least two enemies must get so upset at how awesome your team's roleplaying is that they make angry comments in chat. Monologuing after killing somebody usually works well.
Restrictions:           Team members must roleplay their characters in /all chat.

Challenge Name:   4. The Wall
Objective:           Win the game.
Restrictions:           Your team members can only select strength heroes.

Challenge Name:   5. Ultimate Miser
Objective:           Win the game.
Restrictions:           Team members can only purchase consumeable items.

Challenge Name:   6. Lanes? Where We're Going We Don't Need Lanes
Objective:          Win the game.
Restrictions:          The only experience your team members can get before level 6 is from enemy kills or jungle creeps.

Challenge Name:   7. No Where to Hide
Objective:           Kill an enemy on his starting platform.
Restrictions:           None.

Challenge Name:   8. I Walk Alone
Objective:           Win the game.
Restrictions:           Only one member of your team can get kills.

Challenge Name:   9. Remove The Crutches
Objective:           Win the game.
Restrictions:           Team members can only put points in 1 skill (no ults).

Challenge Name:   10. Strong Like Pebbles, Smart Like Hammerstorm
Objective:           Win the game.
Restrictions:            Your team cannot purchase items that grant intelligence.

Challenge Name:   11. Gandhi Wins
Objective:           Win the game.
Restrictions:           Team members cannot kill any enemy players.

Challenge Name:   12. Turtle Power
Objective:           Win the game.
Restrictions:           Team members can only purchase boots and Protective items

Challenge Name:   13. Night of a Thousand Ninjas
Objective:           Your entire team must gank an enemy in the jungle.
Restrictions:           Team members may only select ability heroes.

Challenge Name:   14. Marked For Death
Objective:           Win the game.
Restrictions:           Select one member of the other team. He is the only member of the opposing team that may be killed. He must die at least once every five minutes. Concede if he lives for longer than five minutes or if you accidentally kill somebody other than the target.

Challenge Name:   15. Ultimate Force
Objective:           Ace the enemy team at least twice and win.
Restrictions:           Team members must use their ultimates as soon as they are available/come off cooldown.

Challenge Name:   16. Mental Warfare
Objective:           Win the game by having the enemy team surrender.
Restrictions:           Team members cannot damage enemy structures.


Challenge Name:   17. Die Another Day
Objective:           Win the game.
Restrictions:           Enemy towers can only be attacked by team members with less than 300 hp.

Challenge Name:   18. The Triple Double
Objective:           Win the game.
Restrictions:           All team members must have double digit kills, deaths, and assists

Challenge Name:   19. Go Go Map Awareness
Objective:           Your team must have at all times 10 wards deployed on the map whose vision does not overlap.
Restrictions:           If a team member dies in the enemy jungle, you must surrender.

Challenge Name:   20. You Go This Way, I'll Go That Way?
Objective:           Win the game.
Restrictions:           Team members cannot communicate in chat or vent. No communication! No 3 team members can be within ward vision distance of each other.

Challenge Name:   21. I Cherish My Ignorance On The Subject
Objective:           Win the game.
Restrictions:           Team members can only purchase the recommended items in the assigned order.

Challenge Name:   22. Walk it Off
Objective:           Win the game.
Restrictions:           No one is allowed to play healers or heal in any way, shape or form besides natural/passive hp regen.

Challenge Name:   23. Protect the Royalty!
Objective:           Win the game without having your King/Queen die.
Restrictions:           One team member is the designated King/Queen and must not be allowed to die. They must be the same level or 1 level below the rest of the team at all times. Roleplaying earns bonus points ('A most excellently placed ward my liege', 'Form up upon me my subjects')

Challenge Name:   24. Juke This
Objective:           Win the game
Restrictions:           Team members can only use abilities that are skillshots.

Challenge Name:   25. I Walk Alone... Sometimes.
Objective:           Win the game
Restrictions:           Any team member that gets an assist must take a 1 minute fountain penalty, no moving!

Challenge Name:   26. Slow and Steady Wins the Race
Objective:           Win the game.
Restrictions:           Team members cannot buy boots or other movement speed enhancing items.


Challenge Name:   27. No Direction Home
Objective:           Win the game.
Restrictions:           Team members cannot return to base unless they die.

Challenge Name:   28. Is This Lipstick or Blood?
Objective:           Win the game.
Restrictions:           Team members must turn off the hero health bars.

Challenge Name:   29. Who Needs Skill?
Objective:           Win the game.
Restrictions:           Team members may only play heroes with at least 3 skillshots.

Challenge Name:   30. So Hungry Must Eat... Braaaaains!!!
Objective:           Win the game.
Restrictions:           Team members may only play undead heroes. Bonus points for roleplaying in all chat.

Challenge Name:   31. Theatrics
Objective:           Annoy the enemy!
Restrictions:           While alive, you must announce your intent to harm your enemy, and/or issue a formal gentlemen's challenge, before attacking an enemy champion. Whenever you die, you must deliver a dramatic monologue in /all chat for as long as you are dead. This monologue may relate to lamenting your fate, regretting your mistakes, swearing revenge upon your killer, or a similarly dramatic subject.

Challenge Name:   32. Mad Hatter's Tea Party
Objective:           Win the game.
Restrictions:           Beginning at five minutes, then every five minutes after that, each member of your team must relocate themselves to top, middle, bottom, at random (roll a die, or prepare a random lane order before the game, etc.) and continue farming/pushing there. All players must yell CHANGE PLACES! in all-chat before doing so.

Challenge Name:   33. 3rd Person Shooter
Objective:           Win the game.
Restrictions:           Team members must lock their cameras and zoom at least 2x

Challenge Name:   34. I Ain't Sayin' She a Grave Digger
Objective:           Win the game.
Restrictions:           Everytime your team kills an enemy you must place a ward on top of their corpse before thhe respawn as a memorial.

Challenge Name:   35. Damage ticks, ticks away...
Objective:           Win the game.
Restrictions:           All champions on your team must have a DOT(Damage Over Time) ability.

Challenge Name:   36. Survival of the Fed-est
Objective:           Win the game.
Restrictions:           Your team may only kill the opponents with the two lowest creep scores.

Challenge Name:   37. Come at me, Bro!
Objective:           Win the game.
Restrictions:             Half of your total team kills must be Smackdowns. If any one of the team members gets a humiliation, your team must surrender.

Challenge Name:   38. Can't Outcarry Me
Objective:           Win the game.
Restrictions:           All members must pick melee agiliti carry heroes.


Challenge Name:   39. Now I know my ABCs!
Objective:           Win the game.
Restrictions:           Team makeup must be made of heroes named alphabetically. Blue/Pink randoms to determine the starting letter. (ex: Artesia, Blacksmith, Chronos, Draconis, Engineer)

Challenge Name:   40. Blackout
Objective:           Win the game.
Restrictions:           No miss calls, courier scouting or wards allowed.

Challenge Name:   41. Man-Up
Objective:           Win the game.
Restrictions:           Team members not return to well unless killed, play aggresive constantly and never give up a chase on an enemy, even if it means tower/well diving and certain death. If available a team member must select Legionaire

Challenge Name:   42. Interface is blocking my sight!
Objective:           Win the game.
Restrictions:           When leaving the base, team members must hide their interface by pressing F12.

We also were winning the match and conceded at 30 minutes.
