I am backing Espanol (Spain) to win this time around, after winning the Euro Cup and with my boy Torres at the front (Liverpool forward) they are set to go all the way.

2nd and 3rd place are likely to be the Dutch or England.

Brazil has an older squad which works against them and Italy's typical slow down the match so everyone can be bored style can be overcome with fast paced play from powerful center backs.

I expect Mexico and even the USA to possibly place higher than in the last 2 previous World Cups.

:)

And if anyone mentions that bloody theme song I am getting a moderator to delete the post.

Actually Kyle good point, tomorrow USA has a monumental challenge going up against Steven Gerrard, Wayne Rooney, Glen Johnson and the rest of team England.

I will tell ya this, Gerrard is the skip at Liverpool, so England is in my corner.

But if the USA were to draw that would mark a monumental step for USA on the international soccer scene. That is likely the BIG match of tomorrow :)

Argentina 1 - 0    Nigeria
S. Corea   2 - 0     Greece

Look for S. Corea in this group, I know Greece has down a lot since he last won the Eurocup and indirectly their economic position is affecting their moral. My bet S. Corea is going to the next round in 2nd place.

HUGE HUGE upset for England which was only able to draw against the USA. As said before Kyle, if the USA can hold its own against powerhouses you may see them exit the group stages into the round of 16!

Right now the Germany Vs. Australia match is on, either there are a crap load (like epic 10 billion) mosquitos in South Africa at that field or they gave a bloody horn to every spectator and they won't stop blowing em. For 40 minutes straight it is all you hear, it can make a person go absolutely nutty!

Whose been watching today and what are your guys predictions for tomorrow?

They shouldn't have sold those horns there...It goes the WHOLE game. How do those spectators have enough breath to do that?
Also, Germany is destroying Austrailia right now. They are an amazing team! Germany has a ton of skill.

Everyone, I updated the first post to reflect the match schedules for each day in the "group stages" and will update scores as we go along :)

Also, if anyone is confused, this is not club play and there are NO aggregate / 2 leg sections in any World Cup tournament.

Germany is going all the way just see, IMO they are going to get farther (and even champions), Spain is always the same, they always come as one of the favorites and they end up being a huge disappointment.

BTW for tomorrow watch Italy vs Paraguay thats suppose to be a good game, Italy is not playing well (We beat them 2 weeks ago on a friendly game) but Paraguay is actually impressing the world!

Totally Agreed :)

Cronxs Germany played very very soundly :)

Sorry for the delayed update, this week is a barn burner in terms of running to the office and finding a car :)
