I'd like to introduce a new feature of the forums... with no actual importance... adding next to nothing of real value.
SERIOUS BUSINESS POINTS! This is based off of the goofy days, when everything here was SERIOUS BUSINESS.



Alright, first and foremost:
THESE POINTS MEAN NOTHING!

Seriously, these points... mean... absolutely nothing.  Our forums have had a "Karma" system built in for the longest time, but we have never used it.  It can be used to restrict who can post/whatever, but that's crazy-talk.

I've decided that we would turn on this pointless feature (because we're all about wasting time most of the time anyways) and see if we could have some fun with it.

Since the points mean nothing, there really are no rules for it.  The origin of this idea actually came from one of squishy's posts that made me literally laugh out loud.  I went to type "+1" to him, but instead... I remembered the Karma system.  So, I turned it on, and then gave squishy a SBP.  So now, if you see me commenting +1 SBP, I'm adding to the number of points you have because I'm enjoying something you're saying, or adding, etc (i.e.,  your post sticks out to me for some reason).

ALL FORUM MEMBERS CAN CHANGE SBPs.  Just look under avatars on the left hand side of a post and you'll see the ability to change these values.  You cannot, however, change your SBP value (that's just built into the system like that).

I would like to add again that these points mean nothing and the first person to bitch/complain about them going up or down at some stupid level is going to get some serious negative SBPs from me.  These are not like post counts, which can only be changed by really important people to honor old posts counts.  Post counts actually mean something and will not be messed with.  We may mess with the SBPs based on holidays/drunken moments/sheer shenanigans.

I know at least at first, the SBPs will be all over the place, but I bet over time they will be given out for funny posts and removed for retarded posts.  However, this will never EVER be used as a basis for any decisions or actual measurement (because that's just straight retarded).

Please have fun with this.  It's meant to be something stupid/silly/fun.  If you think it's dumb, you can just simply ignore it (it's that little of a deal).  If you think it's something fun, enjoy it.  If this becomes a problem, I'll have to get rid of them and that will make me sad face (big time).

There is a work-around.  On a topic you want to award points... go to the tapatalk menu and it should have a "Go To Browser" feature.  Click that... (first time you may have to login and tell it to keep you logged in forever) and then you should be able to give SBPs.  Not the best, but it works.
