So, when i get my taxes back at the end of this month i plan on putting some of it towards a new laptop. I can't do a pc right now, just not enough room in this cramped ass apartment, i have no where to put it. I'm not gonna go crazy looking for a laptop online and i am no where near tech savvy enough to build my own so that's out. I'm thinking i'm just gonna go to best buy and grab one. But i don't know what i'm looking for, as per usual. So, i need help. I've already been on the Best Buy website to look at shit, but it's all a foreign language to me. Maybe if someone is bored they can jump on best buy's website and help me out. I live very close to the Taunton Massachusetts store in the Silver City Galleria Mall and my zip code is 02767. Not sure if you'll need that info, but there it is just in case. I won't be on till around 10 o'clock tonight and i'll try to hop on mumble to get the word from everyone.

Dead set on Best Buy eh? I'm not tech savvy enough to buy you a beast of a laptop, also I don't know your price range. But best of luck to you and hope to see your ass on soon with your new beast!

It's a laptop, it won't be a beast at all. Dropping a lot of money on a laptop is silly, they cost a fair bit more in relation to its capabilites.

I can't get a desktop right now, i have no where to put it ahop, a laptop is the way i have to go for the foreseeable future. like running said i don't wanna blow to much money on a laptop, i mean i can go up to 1k, but i don't really wanna do that if i can avoid it. I'm not dead set on best buy, i just figured it was the easier place to go for computers. i don't know really know where else to look.

Yeah, just get something inexpensive for now. It will last you for a while until you move and can afford a desktop. For now save the money and either spend it on a desktop later, or find it for the many other uses that you need money for.

Here is what I would do, but you dont have to do this.

I would save up until I could get a Desktop

this will allow you to see what is on the market and what is compatable. Now Cyberpowerpc is by no means the best place to get your stuff (customer service sucks ass) but it can be a helpful tool to build a laptop.

i'm not gonna save for a desktop when i won't have a place to put it for 2 or 3 years. i'm gonna buy a laptop that can run bf3 and any new games coming out. i'll be on mumble tonight, we can talk about it then.

i'm not in school anymore man. i finished in may, i'm all gradiated. 2 or 3 years is when i think i'll be able to move out and be able to get my own apartment. right now i'm sharing a 2 bedroom with my mother, 2 brothers, and cousin. so it's a little cramped, not a whole lot of space, none for a desktop.

for around 1100 or so if your going with bestbuy you can get a decent laptop that will be able to game pretty well. Intel I5 to save some money. I used the intel integrated graphics for a bit on my desktop but never attempted to game with them so I will not be able to tell you to use the integrated graphics or a discrete video processor.
