I'm pretty much stuck in California all the time (working full time & managing an apartment complex :-P) I'm sure this could be quite doable with a little bit of planning. Just be sure that there's plenty of couches/beds/cots/whatever-s for when people need to crash (and they will need to crash) and just have some shift sleeping, or something (and a few "okay, you smell, hit the showers" breaks for individuals who become a bit too...potent) Once you get the logistics down, this should be cake (hell, look at things like PAX and Digital Overload, those are practically whole weekend LANs that just close up at night because of where they're being held, but could easily break this record if everyone wasn't shipped out each night)I stand by my suggestions though: shifts for rest, refueling, and de-stankification (while everyone else plays on and on)
Unless the location where Quakecon is held remains open 24 hours each day, so that it's an unbroken however many hours, then it would be limited to the consecutive hours when it is open. Also, they'd have to get the paperwork/apply to beat the record beforehand (along with getting a guineas rep to come & witness it)Is the record for longest personal/non-promoted (endorsed, advertised, or whatever else) LAN, cause that would also play into why the big ones aren't there.EDIT: Apparently my phone thinks when I type quakecon I mean whalebone.
