I'm sure you've heard
« on: May 24, 2011, 11:05:31 AM »
A town to the south of us (like 3 hours south) got hit by tornadoes Sunday. The hospital was destroyed, the walmart and the home depot were also destroyed. My friends uncle was in the hospital because he had surgery last week and was killed because they nurses and doctors moved his room mate but not him. the power cut out because of the weather and then he literally got sucked out the window of the hospital. My brother is down there trying to help them however he can.

The hospital.

I think there was another one in Iowa yesterday.  Pray for those affected by this year's tornado season.

This single tornado has killed 116+ people as of yesterday and they are still searching through the destroyed walmart and home depot as well as the houses

They just said that the Tornado was an EF 5 not an EF 4. This is different from what they said this morning.

I've been watching this real closely, and it's just terrible.  Please, anyone who can, I really and truly urge you to donate to an organization such as the Red Cross: http://www.redcross.org

I took a screenshot from Google street view of a corner in Joplin, MO...then put a picture taken after the tornado hit below it (http://www.flickr.com/photos/zeitlosimagery/5752633134/sizes/l/in/photostream/). I still cannot process this destruction.
