How to increase battery life on your Droids
« on: September 02, 2010, 01:49:36 PM »
Increasing battery life on your android phones is easy if your not running android 2.2 those with 2.2 will already optimize battery consumption.  Those not running 2.2. Buy an app in the store called setcpu you must have root access to your phone. Pick the clock settings you desire and it lowers your cpu clock speed when not in use. By now normally i'd have had to have swapped batteries today but I'm doin just fine.  Another thingyou can do no matter what ur phone is running. Adjust backlit screen times and shutoff times for
The screen adjust your brightnesses. Enjoy.

Well some phones consume battery power at a faster rate then others. My phone in particular is well known for being a power whore. its all an experimentation process in the process of trying different kernels and all seeing what runs best.

Only issue i'm coming across right now is I can't get a updated version of LauncherPro to install out of the market place. So i'm probably going to create a new custom ROM pack with a different theme in it perhaps one that doesn't include launcher pro and go from there.

im running like the 3.0 beta or something like that. and they're all the way on like 7 now or something.
