i just had a debate about this bill with a friend the other day. I read the bill, people say the military having the power to indefinitely detain is located "inconspicuously in the middle of the 628 pages"  i didn't see it.  I did see a section that states about detainment in guantanamo bay for suspected terrorists, and those that were involved with "al qaeda and other known terrorist groups".  take it's for what it's worth, but in my opinion it will get to the supreme court, be ruled in violation of the bill of rights, cannot be passed and rejected.  Even with the gross overreaction to the bill that the internet has created, Obama already said he would use his Veto if he had to.  Like i said, take it for what its worth.  we'd still have to vote on it.
