.... You guys realize that this changed absolutely nothing other than gaining revenge, right? You've already found many of the people that mattered. More importantly, dismantled much of that organization. This guy was in hiding, and hunting him down wasted a LOT of resources that could have been used elsewhere... Sorry but this hunt was fueled by revenge and not logic.Don't get me wrong, he's an evil fuck and I am surely not losing sleep over this. But this isn't a point... the guy's life was over anyway, always on the run. Edit: What I'm trying to say is that he was no longer a threat anyway, and we all knew he'd eventually die. I thought it would be someone finding and killing him and hoping for a cash reward from the US.
I agree with Running. When I found out last night it was more of a "so what?" moment really. All he was doing was hiding, it was all he could do. What has he been doing the past 10 years? - Not much. Sure losing a leader may bring the organization down a peg but there are still tons of people who follow his views. Another leader will just step up and this will just continue. He deserved to die, yes...but as Running said, he was dead either way. I do however agree with Squish in that the mental effect of this is going to be beneficial. Also, I still think that the 9/11 attacks stink of something else and that he wasn't the only one involved.
