Limiting Mumble Idle Time
« on: April 06, 2011, 12:27:44 AM »
Let's make it like 10 minutes. It annoys me when people (cough cough DRUMMER) stay on a line and they are not there. Oh an Channy too. :)
or I'll move them myself.

As part of this bill I'd like to propose a removal of Kari's power to move individuals in the channels.

but then there is the time where you are online alone.... you are gaming.. so you enter a channel in mumble...
Do you really expect me to keep hitting my mumble bind every ten minutes so that I can stay out of the AFK channel?

I mean.. on average I hit my bind about every half hour when I am online so that I do not get moved and people know I am here.

I think the present 1 hour limit is too long. Needs to be shortened.
As part of this bill I propose making Brennan's name poop brown for being a whiny party pooper.

I think 10 minutes is a bit too short.  30 minutes is more reasonable if you ask me.  It wouldn't be that bad to just tap the voicechat key every 30 minutes if no one is in the channel to make sure you stay in there.  If you are gone from the mic for more than 30 minutes, you shouldn't be in an active voice channel anyways.

I say 20 minutes. That's a good happy medium. And its annoying goin into a channel askin for someone and they're just not there.

yeah but sometimes it takes like 15 1/2 minutes to take a poop. then you have to come back and click like TWO times to get back into your channel. I say 20 minutes.

Clicking two times has become an unreasonable effort?  If you're gone for 15 minutes, are you really there?

I still like 15 minutes with a 1-2 minute warning.
