Drummers new MISC STUFF TOPIC

So.... , my parents, being as awesome as they are... decided to pitch in a bit with my computer because they felt bad for buying my sister two new laptops while I always bought my own.
So... My budget has increased.
I need....
New keyboard, new mouse, new monitor, new soundsystem.
I don't know if I'll be getting all of these but I'd like to take a look.
I found a nice monitor

Opinions, better deals, and other ideas are exceptionally appreciated.
BTW, New machine runs fantastic. It's gorgeous.
Thanks all!

Monitor:
Anything above 21.5" is usually 1080p
Mouse:
Personal preference is Logitech G500. Simple adapation on the G5.
If you want fanciness, the SideWinder X8 is nice. Swappable mice feet for quick/fast or slow/steady movement. Primarily wireless. The docking system is a bit bulky but holds your mice feet and tether.
Sound:
Most SoundBlaster cards work well paired with Saitek/Creative/Logitech headsets taking the load off your CPU.
Keyboard:
I use those keyboards that come with PCs. They all work fine. The more expensive ones are just fancier.

LED backlit 23 incher.
Mouse: Agree with KC Logitech mouses kick ass I personally run the g500(

) also. using 5 1.7g weights and a single 4.5g
Sound - Logitech makes good sound systems also.

Keyboards - Eh.... I mean I personally use a Razer Arctosa, works great for me. I've tried the ThermalTake Challenger Pro, I wasn't such a big fan of it. I couldn't get used to the feel of it. Im not really gonna give a reccomendation here as its all opinionated.

- Logitech has always made good stuff, Once I had a Logitech mouse. I haven't went back. I've even used logitech wireless mouses and whooped ass with it.
I had the MX Revolution for a long time. and then I always got into fights with people about optical vs laser and wired vs wireless and My proof was that I was kicking their asses with a wireless laser mouse.

i don't want to go wireless for mice purely because I don't intend to use that feature.... when i use my computer, i will be sitting at it.
I'm currently using stock mouse/keyboard from dell (4 years ago lol)
i'm going to go with the monitor in my first post,
is a sound card worth it? working with older machines i see them all the time but not too much on new machines.

The soundcard would depend on the speakers you get. Basic speakers won't need super awesome sound. Better speakers will make use of a soundcard. I know IBA knows a lot about sound systems, so hopeully he can elaborate on something affordable for you.

Drummer, if you get a sound card look to creative for sound cards. I have a creative x-fi xtreme gamer for my rig, and i wasnt saying get a wireless mouse i was just sayin logitech makes good stuff.
New machines i mean they can have sound cards in them but some boards have good enough onboard audio that it isnt an issue and a card isnt required. I still notice a difference between my onboard and my card.
