Hey all,

As many of you may have heard already, I was considering a real-life clan campout-style event for a little fun for the community.  Kyle and I recently hashed out the dates, and I've come up with a preliminary course of events; let us know what you think!  The event will be held in a campground (specific one TBD) in/around Sandusky, OH (reasonably centered in the USA, reasonably close to CA, very close to the planners of this event ).

Friday, July 9:  People arrive at the campground throughout the night.  Alcohol is consumed, campfire stories of how Kyle will get you in the middle of the night are told.

Saturday, July 10:  When we manage to stumble out of bed, we wander over to Cedar Point (www.cedarpoint.com), an amusement park nearby with some of the best roller coasters in the world.  I hope you like roller coasters, but you're still welcome to wander along if you don't.  Depending upon the heat/humidity/how we feel/$$, I wouldn't rule out bumming next door to Soak City, which is a water park, but this is a definite variable.

Sunday, July 11:  People wake up and go away.

Obviously, we want to get the discussion on this rolling now to see who/how many people might be able to come, to see who might be able to share rides, and any other technicalities.  Of course, this is open to all members of the community, not just active clan members.  Let's hear your thoughts!

Hahaha.  Damn you.  I'm hoping many people are interested in this and are able to.  We're hoping to take off on the foundations of the old Techno-camp hosted by Lunchmeat.  Hopefully we can get a number of people to get together and carry on a tradition of doing so.

If not, I guess Tom and I will tell campfire stories to each other... err... wait... no.

Ill be in basic training Tuesday but ill be sure to make it next year but i like the idea cause ohio is right up my alley and i have family there

Would I be wrong to assume that <Epic Gathering> implies that there will be wizardry or some D&D? Because that's a deal breaker for me....I once got flipped by someone who played D&D. I haven't quite been right in the head since that day.
