That's Enough
« on: October 01, 2010, 12:39:30 PM »
1.  Your first name (for real!)
Metin

2.  Your handle (your name as it is in-game, should also be the title of the thread).
That's Enough

3.  Your previous handles/nicknames.
Hazardous, mishterhaz, haz

4.  Where you are from (include time zone).
Born in Dover, NJ.  Moved to Garland, TX when I was 3, then back to Jersey again when I was 8.  Now I live in Delaware, working in Maryland for The Man.

5.  How old you are (birthday).
24.  Born June 27th, 1986

6.  What games you play and how much experience you have at them.
A little of everything.  Started out with CS way back when it first came out (even got into competitive play, CAL-m only though), and eventually went to DoD and NS.  Dabbled in some of the Battlefield series.  Nowadays you'll find me playing Borderlands on Steam, and occasionally BF2, TF2, or some random source mod.  Currently, I play Halo:Reach (for giggles) or Mass Effect 2 (religiously) on 360.  My gamertag is (surprise) Thats Enough.  Add me (but say who you are first, otherwise I will ignore you :P)!

7.  What your hobbies are.
Riding.  I love going out on my motorcycle (2002 Harley Sportster 883c modded with the 1200cc big bore kit) with a group of other riders for a weekend day trip.  Always a good time, and nothing more relaxing than riding some of the beautiful mountain roads in northern NJ during the fall.  Winter months you will always find me skiing when I can--and I even dabbled in some snowboarding.  Although that was a very painful first day.  Past that, I enjoy hiking/backpacking and camping.  Be it pouring rain, steaming heat, or clear skies I'll always be up for a good camping trip.

8.  What your profession is.
I work for The Man.  Currently a civilian electrical engineer for the US Army, stationed at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD.  Much of the work deals with countering remote controlled IEDs, research into wireless technologies, computer network exploitation (cyber war, yay!), and software development.  I tend to travel all over the country for work (collaboration with DARPA, NSA, Air Force, etc.), which makes gaming harder and harder these days.  But I love my job and wouldn't have it any other way.

9.  How you found [IAM].
Back when NS came out (2001), I played quite a great deal.  I stumbled upon the [NAR] clan server, and quickly became a regular.  I loved the company of the people there, and it was a strong community of gamers like myself at the time.  [NAR] soon merged with [I AM], and shortly after I was recruited (2004).  I've stuck around with [I AM] through it all, and when we eventually merged with [-A-], I decided to stay and help (bother) Anomaly some more.  These days I just help out where I can, realizing that I have far too little time to devote to seriously managing a division.  I am always up for a good game with friends, and I think that's the bigger reason I stick around here.

10.  Any unique skills you have that you'd be willing to help community members with (tech. help/server-saavy, etc.).
Anything and everything wireless.  Be it cell phone, AM/FM radio, wifi...you name it.  If you have a question about antennas, or why service sucks for you, or anything along those lines, I'll help you however I can.  I've also gotten pretty good when it comes to motorcycle repair and modding...mostly through trial and (painful) error :D

11.  Any additional information that you feel like providing (stories about your life, anything!)
Looking back, it's no wonder why I stuck around here for all these years (man I'm getting old).  I loved the sense of community between many of the clan members and regulars alike.  Back in the NS1 days, this was the place to be--we continually ranked in the top 5 NS servers worldwide, and had such a great time.  I'll always remember all the hilarious and great times had by all--some of you are like family to me (whether you like it or not).  Gaming aside, I have a wonderful girlfriend whom I love dearly (and plan to marry sometime).  I've always been a hopeless romantic, and am a sucker for a nice, relaxing evening with Girlfriend.  I can be very type A personality, but also love to be spontaneous.  Sometimes the best memories are when nothing in particular was planned, and nothing in particular happened.
