Running
« on: August 06, 2010, 02:59:41 PM »
Reserved for later, but I'll get to it... and there may even be ranting within this thing, who knows. Maybe I'll wait until I'm drunk to post and it'll all be "I'm fucking awesome". Maybe I'll even reference the song... who knows.

1.  Your first name (for real!)

My name is Jordan Running.

2.  Your handle (your name as it is in-game, should also be the title of the thread).

Running. Yes, my screen name is my real name. And frankly, it's an awesome name to have.

3.  Your previous handles/nicknames.

Heaven's Hero for my paladin back in the days of Diablo and Starcraft. Not sure why, thought the whole holy warrior thing was cool when I was 12.

4.  Where you are from (include time zone).

Sault Ste Marie, Ontario, Canada. Right in the middle of the great lakes, northern Ontario, in the eastern time zone

5.  How old you are (birthday).

24 years old, born April 6th, 1986

6.  What games you play and how much experience you have at them.

All games by Blizzard, CS, a bit of DoD, NS, HoN, Aleien Swarm now. Decent at most shooters.

7.  What your hobbies are.

Grew up playing sports, mainly hockey and football. I was decent at football just becasue I was fast, hockey I was good. I still work out, though inconsistantly. I play some pickup hockey and touch football in the fall. I drink, and can likely outdrink anybody here that outweighs me by fewer than 50lbs (and if not, it'll be a fun competition). Drink of choice is currently 40 Creek (a Canadian whiskey, very good). Otherwise the standard "I like to hang out with friends" applies.

8.  What your profession is.

Currently unemployed, but worked for Canada Border Services Agency (Customs officer) for 3 years. I've arrested people for a variety of things, know my legislation fairly well and actually treated it as a public service, not a power trip. Given my degree is in business, I will either end up working in administration for a company or become a police officer. At curent I'd rather be a police officer.

9.  How you found [IAM].

I was one of the earliest members of I AM, and I think the only in the first ten that is still around.... Two of my best friends and I were playing Counter Strike, found a server that was based in Ottawa so we got slightly better pings than some other servers (when all servers were slow). People were friendly, lots of Canadians which attracted me since I was 14 (maybe 15, can't remember). Been floating aruond ever since.

10.  Any unique skills you have that you'd be willing to help community members with (tech. help/server-saavy, etc.).

Apparently the generic computer tech skills are considered unique when dealing with an internet community.... since I am unique in NOT having those skills I will just say that I have random knowledge in random things that will not be considered unique or specialized. But I'll sure as hell argue about anything under the sun, or on it.

11.  Any additional information that you feel like providing (stories about your life, anything!)

I am the biggest under acheiver you have ever seen.

So, when you go for a run, do you like to go outdoors or run on a treadmill?

I really don't like doing cardio at all.... in the winter a treadmill or eliptical is all I have the option of due to snow. In the summer I run sprints because it takes less time and gets the legs jacked. (Yes, I can run fast. Though not Olympic speeds)

Don't believe him. Jordan is roughly 270 lbs, with lots of fat. He pretends to be fit, but not in reality. He worked at a hockey rink forever, only to get free candy from the community arena.

Some things just never end, eh, Jordan?

Cheers!
